ADULT BIBLE CLASS – They will resume again with the study of the Gospel of St. John at the church on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. The next topic is titled “Comfort for a Troubled Heart” based on St. John, chapter 14.

CONFIRMATION CLASS – Pastor Elroi Reimnitz will also resume teaching the class on Thursday, January 10th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. They are studying the six chief parts of Christian doctrine with eleventh lesson titled “Understanding Holy Baptism.”

JESUS CLUB – We had 14 children in attendance for the All Saints’ Halloween Party last Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. They wore their favorite costumes and watched a video titled “Jesus, the Son of God.” They also completed and colored Bible lessons, played games and enjoyed the cupcakes, fresh fruits, chips and refreshments.

SYMPATHY – We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Diane Menius, who was called to her heavenly home last Monday. A memorial service is pending and will be held here at SITP.. THANK YOU – We want to say thank you again to everyone who donated and purchased baking goods on Sunday, June 10th to help defray the cost and expenses for the 2018 Vacation Bible School. The bake sale raised a total of $363.50.

DISTRICT CONVENTION – The 45th Pacific Southwest District Convention of The LCMS will be held next week from Wednesday through Friday (June 27-29) at The Hotel at Jamboree Center, Irvine. The theme: “Rejoicing with the Nations” (Revelation 7:9-10). Pastor Elroi Reimnitz will be serving as the pastoral delegate and Beverly Grabe as the lay delegate from our congregation. Pastor Reimnitz has also been nominated by the Pacific Southwest District Nominating Committee as a candidate to the Board of Regents of Concordia University Irvine (CUI).

VOTER’S ASSEMBLY – The meeting will be held today after the fellowship at 11:00 a.m. An updated report on the Annual Budget will be presented by the Treasurer and Financial Secretary. Everyone is encouraged to stay and attend this special meeting.

JESUS CLUB – We had 7 children in attendance last Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. They watched a video on the Lord’s Prayer, completed a Bible lesson and a project and played games. The next meeting is scheduled for the last Thursday of the month on May 24th at 3:30 p.m. Mark this date on your calendar.
